### Rethink annotations

- seeing annotations independent from collections
- there is one set of default annotations from the owner
- every user can create new annotation sets / lists with their own annotations
- Annotation sets can be shared (-> we need a dialog here)
- the user can change between the sets to display them
- naming could happen in annotation mode:

**Window in annotation mode**
Right now the viewer opens in an overlay with the annotation mode. We think about not using the overlay anymore, but expanding the viewer window in the same window. The metadata is hidden then, but can be unfolded again.

First idea how to manage annotation sets:

- as a tab in the profile page
- the object is shown several times, but with the different sets that can be edited
- or are the sets always connected to the object and it doesn't make sense to have them listed separately?
