Description

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe

Z2m is great software, literally +10 while the install and update process is a -10. Zwave we simply copy over the new EXE and start it... boom upgraded.

Z2M is a nightmare... it never, literally never, restarts properly. Often I need to download/build (using a PS script) multiple times and restart the service multiple times... sometimes I must reboot the Server completely. I have VMs and many other native server apps (Plex, Blue Iris, Zwave JS, etc) on the Windows server, no way I want to reboot -ever.

Please make this easier... its nuts how good this software is but how poor the upgrade experience is. I dont understand why this is not an EXE or has auto update mechanism.

Describe the solution you'd like

Auto-Update ... or at least a single EXE like ZWAVE JS

Describe alternatives you've considered

none exist except pain sweat blood and tears

Additional context

pretty please

Research direction

Start by reviewing the current Windows installation and update process, then compare it with the Zwave JS UI executable-based approach described in the issue. Done means providing either a reliable auto-update mechanism or a single executable that installs and updates without repeated restarts or server reboots.
