Clicking the IE clear icon does not cause validation to fire.

If you have textbox that is required, it can be cleared and have it's focus lost and never fire validation.

No files or tests are named in the issue. Reproduce a required textbox cleared with the IE clear icon, then inspect the validation event handling and compare it with the linked IE workaround; done means validation fires after clearing the field and losing focus.
