Description

For some reason options together with validation and the datatables binding found here (https://github.com/CogShift/Knockout.Extensions) does not work if the option is empty from the beginning, try to select a item in a empty drop down and then empty that option again, the required rule does not work.

Since its only for options the bug must be in the Validation library, but I havent been able to find the problem, maybe you can help me.

Research direction

Start with the linked jsFiddle and the options/datatable binding in Knockout.Extensions, then trace how the validation library observes an option cleared after a selection. Done means the required rule correctly reports an empty option in that reproduction.
