Description
I was wondering if the spec (or some extension) allows for creating a camera with a non symmetric frustum. This is useful for VR for example.
It seems from the spec that it's only possible to define vfov and aspect ratio for a perspective camera. Could I somehow define the projection matrix directly? Would this be something that's worth adding to the spec?

Research direction
Start by reading the glTF camera and perspective-camera portions of the spec, focusing on the stated vfov and aspect-ratio limits. Compare those requirements with the proposed direct projection-matrix approach and determine what a spec change would need to define for non-symmetric frustums and VR use cases.
