Description
Hi all,
glTF supports "triangular meshes" and "primitive.mode," so, is there any plan to support more shape (geometry/topology) paradigms?
In the engineering environment, there's a need to support more paradigms than "triangular meshes" especially for emulation, simulation and analysis purposes
Kind regards,
Ehsan

Research direction
Start with glTF's primitive.mode and the existing triangular-mesh model described in the issue. Review the related geometry and topology discussion to determine whether additional shape paradigms are in scope. Done would require an agreed specification direction, not just a localized implementation change.
