Description
I made a cube, converted to editable poly, cloned it, put morpher on the original, edited the vertices on the clone, then selected the clone as morph target in the original. I tested it and the morph worked fine. Then I saved the scene, exported through OpenCOLLADA, opened a new scene, and imported through OpenCOLLADA, and while the morpher modifier was there and everything seemed exported okay, the morph target now showed as “empty.” What’s going on?

Research direction
Reproduce the reported OpenCOLLADA round trip in 3ds Max 2017 using a cube, editable-poly clone, and Morpher modifier. Inspect the export and import handling for morph targets; the issue is done when the imported morph target is populated and works instead of appearing as “empty.”
