Be able to change the way we display entries

It could be great to just give the editor a command line that gets the bytes as input and output the formatted data. This way anything could work, from a Python script to any binary.

Start by locating how the editor currently displays entries and accepts commands, then define the command-line interface and input/output contract; done requires a documented approach that supports external formatters such as Python scripts and binaries.
