### Summary

web design aesthetics personal opinion
welcome page is too zoomed in both on mobile and desktop.
here's an image from a 20.5 inch iMac:

I imagine the idea is to serve up the shows with one click.
it's like, press enter on jupiterbroadcasting dot com, and bam, you're in my face.

I prefer to approach the site with control. to see what you have to offer and pick my approach:

do i want to look for something i heard on a podcast (squirrely dave's request from earlier today) or join a matrix page.

these things are of equal value as tuning in to the latest shows and also deserve to be just one click away by using a traditional website welcome page where the visiter chooses what to engage with, not to be guided into shows by show name or the latest shows

unless they click on "shows" on the welcome site. even then, i'd like a to choose shows by name or most recent shows by JB and then be presented with text lists such as date, show name, show description, episode number, episode name and a true thumb nail icon incidental to the text, closer to or the same size as the text, like choosing "lists" in vintage MacOS over... was it "icons"?

you have a brand, a community a fantastic place to meet life long friends with shared interests, the JB brand, an experience of a life time that lasts a life time.

the core team lives and breaths podcasts, but they have built a community that is respectful and fun, around the open source ethos. podcasts come equal or maybe even second to that and should be illustrated as such in the web design aesthetics.

sorry to come out of left field with an idea to completely change the site when i don't know what i am doing. at least there's no pressure to take this seriously, it's just my response to the JB welcome page, if that's what it's called ;-)
