Compiling on SPARC64 (Solaris 8)?

This is not an issue, per se. I need to get a C99 compliant libm on my Sun Solaris 8 system. I am using GCC 4.7.7 and BINUTILS 2.24. OK, I am a masochist for loving and using old hardware/software combinations.

What ends up happening is that there's no "sparc64" directory with Make.files or the fenv files. And I do not understand enough about these to build one of my own. I suspect that I'd have to start with something like RISCV64 or MIPS - an implementation where there is only straight C code and no assembly hacks. I'm using UltraSparc3 chips, so they have a FPU built in, but no threading. :-(

Could somebody please point me in the direction of understanding, so that I can get this package up and flying on my dinosaur?
