Description

Once #159 is merged, we'll have a standardised set of tests in src. It may make sense to test that these actually catch the kinds of issues that they're designed to catch. It's unclear to me precisely what such tests should look like.

Research direction

Start by reviewing issue #159 and the standardized tests in src once that change is merged. Determine which tests should demonstrate that the suite catches the intended kinds of issues; completion requires an agreed and implemented approach for testing the tests.
