Research direction

Start with the comparison details in the linked RP_Speed_Test repository and review how RecurrenceAnalysis.jl performs against the other implementations. The issue does not name files, tests, or a specific calculation to change, and it does not define a clear completion condition; establish the performance target and affected entry points before proceeding.

Description

documentation performance

I did some comparison of the calculation speed for RPs and simple RQA. More details at https://github.com/pucicu/RP_Speed_Test. The Julia implementation (RecurrenceAnalysis.jl) is (surprising to me) not the fastest one.

Computation speed for recurrence plots and recurrence quantification measures for the Rössler system.

Have fun! 😁
