Description

Does ReverseDiff.jl have a something similar to y,pb=Zygote.pullback(f,x) which builds a pullback function pb that can be called on an output tangent Δy and when called internally does the vector-jacobian product without assembling the jacobian ?

Research direction

Start by reading ReverseDiff.jl's reverse-mode differentiation API and compare its capabilities with the Zygote.pullback behavior described in the issue. The work is complete when the project has a supported, documented approach for obtaining a callable pullback that computes the vector-Jacobian product without assembling the Jacobian.
