Description
Currently DIT uses Chairmarks which is not MIT-licensed: it uses the GPL-v3 license.
It is unclear to me whether that allows us to release DIT under the MIT license. We should also check the licenses of other dependencies to make sure.

Research direction
The issue names no files, tests, or entry points. Start by locating DIT's Chairmarks usage and dependency declarations, then review the BenchmarkTools option and the licenses of the other dependencies. Done means the licensing concern is resolved and the agreed benchmark dependency choice is implemented.
