Description
I noticed in JuliaDiff/ChainRules.jl#463 that the MethodError thrown here is wrong and doesn't include the first arg. As a more general comment, I always find it quite confusing when packages throw "fake" MethodErrors, since it can easily lead you down the wrong path. Could we just use a custom error message instead?
