Description
See https://github.com/JuliaDiff/ChainRulesCore.jl/pull/35#issuecomment-526319264
and https://github.com/JuliaDiff/ChainRules.jl/pull/55#discussion_r296359409
Things to consider:
- Subtype
Number - define
iszero - define
- - define
/ - define
convert/promoteusingextern - boardcasting ? Like scalar?
I don't know that we should do all of them but with considering.
I don't particular like the idea of things implictly calling extern
But maybe it is ok.

Research direction
Start by reading the linked ChainRulesCore.jl and ChainRules.jl pull-request discussions, then inspect how Differentials are currently defined. Evaluate the listed options—Number subtyping, iszero, arithmetic, conversion and promotion, and broadcasting—and determine which behavior should be included. Done means the intended scope and semantics are agreed before implementation.
