Research direction

Start by reading the @primitive macro and the AbstractDifferentiation interface, then inspect how the backends currently provide jacobian, pushforward, and pullback. The issue does not name files or tests; completion would require deciding whether the macro can be removed and confirming that each backend implements the required methods consistently.
