Description

I can't find any description of what the difference between xmap and mapCube is and when one should be used over the other..

https://juliadatacubes.github.io/YAXArrays.jl/stable/UserGuide/compute.html#mapCube

Gemini tells me that "xmap is the direct, modern successor to mapCube, designed to handle the same, or more complex, lazy, parallelized computations on large multi-dimensional data cubes, but with a different backend engine. "

Research direction

Start with the linked UserGuide compute page at the mapCube section and inspect the existing xmap and mapCube entry points or documentation. Document how they differ, when each should be used, and whether the Gemini-provided claim is accurate. Done means the guide gives newcomers a clear comparison and usage guidance.
