Description

Coordinates of velocity fields (Γ.XS, Γ.YS, Γ.XW, Γ.YW) seem to have some spurious discontinuities. For example, look at Γ.XS[1]. I think I have recreated these variables, but it requires a call to exch_UV

Research direction

Start by examining the Γ.XS, Γ.YS, Γ.XW, and Γ.YW coordinate fields and the exch_UV call mentioned in the report. Reproduce the discontinuity, determine how interpolation to cell faces and exchange operations affect these variables, and verify that the coordinate fields no longer show spurious jumps.
