Description

I count ~240 of them only testing sparse * dense matrix multiplication. We cannot have this type of exhaustive testing here, in my opinion.

Research direction

The issue names only sparse * dense matrix multiplication and an approximate count of 240 tests; it does not identify files, test entry points, or a concrete replacement. Start by locating the benchmark definitions for this multiplication and measuring which cases are redundant. Done requires an agreed, justified reduction in exhaustive coverage.
