Description

It would be convenient to define the default empty constructor so that one could write StructArray{T}() rather than StructArray{T}(undef, 0) like one can do with Vector. Is there any reason it's not already defined in that way?

Research direction

Start by locating the existing StructArray constructors and the tests covering constructor behavior. Compare the desired StructArray{T}() form with the existing StructArray{T}(undef, 0) behavior; the work is done when the empty form works without changing existing construction behavior and the relevant tests pass.
