Description

  • Overload bandwidths(::OneElement) in BandedMatrices.jl
  • Overload vcat(a::OneElement, B::AbstractBandedMatrix, c::OneElement) to first convert a and c to banded matrices. (Possibly adjoints etc.) in BandedMatrices.jl
  • Overload vcat(::AbstractBandedMatrix...) in BandedMatrices.jl (instead of LazyArrays.jl)
  • Overload vcat(::Dual, ::DualVector, ::Dual)

Research direction

Start in BandedMatrices.jl by inspecting the existing overloads for bandwidths(::OneElement) and vcat(::AbstractBandedMatrix...). Then trace how vcat(a::OneElement, B::AbstractBandedMatrix, c::OneElement) should convert the outer elements to banded matrices, including the possible adjoint cases. Done means this concatenation is supported alongside the completed overloads listed in the issue.
