Research direction

The issue does not name a file, test, or existing entry point. First inspect ApproxFun.jl’s current root-finding support and determine what roots should mean for a two-dimensional ApproxFun object. Done should be a tested way to calculate those roots, or a clear explanation that this is unsupported.
