QN/ Mataptorocol Backwards Compatibility

## Context

There's an issue currently where we cannot identify diff types of protobuff messages when processing channels metadata we have 2 types (channel meta/ app action meta). Solution implemented is a little hacky and don't have a good solution rn.  

It can be a problem when App operator decides to have some of their own types.
