Research direction

Reproduce the issue in Android Chrome using the linked CodeSandbox and page sample, focusing on src/App.js, the geolocation useEffect, and the select interaction. Verify the behavior after allowing and blocking the request, including opening the dropdown and displaying entered symbols; done means both work without the described workaround.
