Research direction

Start by reproducing the issue with react-select v2 on the react-select home page, then trace the component's runtime ARIA output. Compare the behavior with the linked Kendo React ComboBox example. Done means aria-expanded is populated and the reported narrator and keyboard accessibility behavior works.
