Very laggy scrolling of vertical listview

I have a moderate size listview made up of a small image and a couple of textviews per item. The scrolling is **VERY** laggy/janky on an iPad2 running iOS 9, the same Jason on an (admittedly quite recent) Android device is fine.
I can't share the Jason publicly at the moment so @gliechtenstein I've sent it to your directly on slack.

Start by obtaining the Jasonette configuration privately shared with @gliechtenstein and reproduce the vertical listview scrolling issue on an iPad2 running iOS 9. Compare the same list against the Android behavior, then trace the listview rendering and scrolling path. Done means scrolling is no longer very laggy on the reported iOS device.
