Offline / Caching not working on android at all

Offline does not seem to do anything at all. When cutting internet off with airplane mode and following to another json via e.g. tabs it's not doing anything anymore.

- no cached version even though the json view was loaded just a few seconds before
- compared to iOS there isn't even an "green offline indication bar"
- any kind of possibility to indicate the requirement of internet would be good

Compare the observed behavior with the documented caching behavior and iOS's offline indication; done means recently loaded JSON remains usable offline or the required internet state is clearly indicated.
