Tabbar is not preserved

On iOS when navigating to a different view from a view that has a footer tabbar defined, the tabbar is redisplayed in the "child view", but on Android the tabbar is *not* displayed in the new "child" view.

Start by reproducing navigation from an Android view with a footer tabbar to a child view, then compare the result with the iOS behavior described in the issue. Trace the Android navigation and tabbar handling involved in that transition; done means the tabbar remains visible in the child view as it does on iOS.
