Description
Displaying the back "arrow" icon in the header seems to be automatic functionality on iOS, but on Android this needs to be done explicitly on the toolbar when using a plain Activity subclass.
@gliechtenstein not sure how this should be handled jason syntax wise to keep compatibility with iOS?

Research direction
Start by inspecting the Android header and toolbar handling for plain Activity subclasses; no specific file or test is named in the issue. Determine how a configurable back icon could be represented while preserving iOS JSON compatibility, and consider the work done only when that behavior is defined and verifiable on Android.
