Instrument with Micrometer

I'm a co-maintainer of the [Micrometer](https://micrometer.io/) project (together with @shakuzen and @jonatan-ivanov). We have an [old feature request](https://github.com/micrometer-metrics/micrometer/issues/977) to add support for JanusGraph. Would there be any interest in adding the instrumentation of this project using Micrometer?

The issue names no files, tests, or entry points. Start by reading Micrometer issue 977 and identifying which JanusGraph components would need instrumentation; done means agreeing on the scope and implementation plan with maintainers.
