Description

About "We believe that BibTeX is still the bibliography format to use, although BibLaTeX, BibTeXML, and CrossTex are good alternatives." (see wiki):
Does it mean internal storage will use BibTeX?
I thought that the storage internal to CloudRef could be independent of BibTeX, and that the user could choose to visualize/export the references in BibTeX, BibLaTeX, BibTeXML or CrossTex. That will widen the community of users, and encourage to move to more recent formats.

Research direction

Start by reading the wiki passage cited in the issue and inspect the project’s current reference-storage and export entry points, if they are identified elsewhere in the repository. The work is not ready to implement until the project decides whether internal storage is tied to BibTeX or supports independent export formats; done should include a documented decision and corresponding implementation scope.
