Description
For example:
from ctypes import cast
cast(1, None)
raises an exception and crashes the CLR.
This is causing ctypes.test_cast to fail on Linux.

Research direction
Start by reproducing the example on Linux and running ctypes.test_cast. Trace the ctypes.cast implementation and its invalid-argument path, then verify that the call raises an exception without crashing the CLR and that ctypes.test_cast passes.
