Description

hi jin, I found something cool the other day...

https://github.com/franko/luajit-lang-toolkit

  • get tokens (needs some changes to count indentation)
  • build ast
    • output Yuescript
    • output LuaJIT bytecode and run directly in LuaJIT (as if you loaded a .lua file)

Research direction

Start by reviewing the referenced luajit-lang-toolkit and its tokenization, indentation, AST, and LuaJIT bytecode paths. Define how YueScript should produce bytecode and run it directly in LuaJIT, then establish tests or execution checks that show the generated result behaves like code loaded from a .lua file.
