Description
emde shows strange chars at line start and near curser on chromium engines. On Mozilla it runs fine.
Seems to come from upstream codemirror.

Reproduce the editor issue in a Chromium engine and compare it with Mozilla, using the screenshot and related issue #563 as context. Inspect the EasyMDE integration with the upstream CodeMirror component to isolate the rendering difference. Done means the stray characters no longer appear at the line start or near the cursor in Chromium while Mozilla behavior remains correct.
