Apostrophe rendered as htmlcharacter

Hey there. For some reason apostrophe's are rendered as html characters in the editor even though they're plainly saved in the database. Has anyone ever experienced this? Is there a setting to prevent this from happening?

The issue names no file or test entry point. Start by reproducing the apostrophe rendering in the editor and compare the saved database value with the rendered output. Done means apostrophes display normally instead of as HTML characters.
