Description
PlotSquared Feature Suggestion:
Allow server owners to allow players to keep their pets and other non-hostile mobs from dying in the roads while unwanted mobs are eliminated. Owners could still eliminate all mobs or not.
How should it be implemented?
In the PlotSquared/config/settings.yml file, replace the existing kill-road-mobs with kill-road-animals and kill-road-monsters.
Additional context
Other plugins like WorldGuard and Multiverse have something like that already.

Research direction
Start by locating the existing kill-road-mobs setting in PlotSquared/config/settings.yml and the code that handles mob removal in roads. Determine how animals, monsters, and player-owned pets are distinguished, then verify that separate settings provide the requested behavior while retaining the option to remove all mobs; no test file or entry point is named in the issue.
