Description
Verification
- I searched for similar bug reports and found none was relevant.
What happened?
PineTime doesn't remember the heart monitor setting if it's being restarted, so you have to re-enable it every time.
What should happen instead?
If heart rate monitor is turned on, it should be turned on when the PineTime is restarted.
Reproduction steps
- Go to Heart rate BPM setting in the Infinitime on your PineTime
- Start the heart rate monitoring
- Restart the Pinetime by holding a button
- After restart, Heart rate monitor is turned off.
More details?
Although in regular use cases the Pinetime is probably not restarted often, but i think it would be more logical if the state of the Heart rate monitor setting was remembered after restart.

Research direction
Start by tracing the heart rate BPM setting in the InfiniTime firmware and how settings are handled across a device restart. Reproduce the reported steps on a PineTime, then verify that an enabled heart rate monitor remains enabled after restarting while preserving the existing behavior for disabled monitoring.
