Hi,
In the Color Basics and Channels article there's no notion of "color model", only "color space". Since those are different things, and also taking into account this post, where @snibgo (one of the developers, IIUC) says: Most "colorspaces" are really colour models [...], to avoid confusion "color model" and its difference from "color space" should perhaps be explained in article linked above.
