Description

There are a number of open issues with only a few comments. Is this library still maintained?

There was a comment https://github.com/react-navigation/react-navigation/issues/8981#issuecomment-779864975 on the v6 react-navigation discussing the possibility of incorporating shared-elements. However, whether or not this will go ahead is a different question.

In addition, the docs and references to react-navigation-stack in the library seem to cause issues for react-navigation v5 users.

Just creating a CAPS issue to make sure that people see the response.

Research direction

Start by reviewing the open issues and the linked react-navigation discussion, then inspect the documentation and references to react-navigation-stack mentioned in the report. Done would require a clear maintenance status and resolved guidance for react-navigation v5 users, but the issue does not name specific files or tests.
