Description
We tried using the event_command option in Icinga for the Invoke-IcingaCheckService command.
This requires:
- a powershell script to be present on the Windows machine
- permissions for the running Icinga-powershell to restart local services
Both is the domain of IfW, so I am asking if there is any meaningful way for this feature to be implemented?
In Icinga Community there is a solution by creating a custom plugin dedicated to the event_command:

Research direction
Start by reviewing the Invoke-IcingaCheckService event_command use case and the linked Icinga Community solution. Clarify how a PowerShell script and permissions for restarting local Windows services should be handled before defining what an implementation would need to provide.
