GUI: Scripting Console usability issue

In the Ibex GUI, in the Scripting view, I can open multiple Console tabs using the menu buttons on the right. These appear to be exact clones of one another (i.e. executing a command in one shows the output on the others too; terminating one will terminate the others too).

Is this the intended behaviour? Without prior knowledge, I would have expected them to be separate consoles.

~~Also, once I have many Console tabs open, how do I close them? I can right-click on each tab, but the "Close" item on the Context menu is disabled.~~
