Description

We are experiencing a Null Pointer Exception when trying to publish a new major version of the following dataset: https://doi.org/10.22008/promice/data/sentinel1icevelocity/greenlandicesheet

We are running Dataverse 5.11.1. Other datasets can publish new major versions and this dataset can publish new minor versions.

Extract from the Dataverse log provided. Can anyone please help us identify what and where the problem is? Is it a problem with the dataset, Dataverse itself or the DOI provider (DataCite)?

Thank you in advance.

Research direction

Start by reviewing the attached server.txt log and the asynchronous major-version publication path in Dataverse 5.11.1. Compare it with the working minor-version publication path and determine whether the null value originates in dataset handling or DOI/DataCite integration. Done means identifying the failure source and documenting or testing the resulting fix.
