@qqmyers yep, please go ahead. That reminds me that we should update https://guides.dataverse.org/en/6.11/developers/version-control.html#replace-issue-with-pull-request which is a bit off (we don't move it to Done).

- Read the whole issue, then the project's contributing guide.
- Comment on the issue to say you are picking it up — it saves two people doing the same work.
- Fork the repository and make your change on a branch.
- Open a pull request that references the issue number.
Research direction
Open the developers/version-control.html#replace-issue-with-pull-request guide section and review the wording about moving an issue to Done. Update that documentation to reflect the current process, then verify the section no longer says the issue is moved to Done.
