Description
Overview of the Feature Request
- Improve the default visibility and readability of the metadata blocks with many sub-fields.
- Render each sub-field (Title, Author, etc.) on its own line or clearly separated, rather than as one long string.
- Consider: Auto-expand the block in the Metadata tab when it contains values.
What kind of user is the feature intended for?
Depositors & Curators (entering rich data-source information)
Guest / Public users (quickly understanding data provenance)
What inspired the request?
CAFE review of datasets showed that critical provenance details are hidden behind a few clicks and rendered as a single paragraph, making multiple sources hard to parse.
What existing behavior do you want changed?
- All sub-fields are concatenated with semicolons, producing an unreadable block when many values are present.
- The "Metadata About Data Sources" accordion is collapsed by default.
Any brand new behavior do you want to add to Dataverse?
- Each sub-field/value pair is displayed on its own line (or with clearer separators).
- Consider: Option to auto-expand this block when populated.
Are you thinking about creating a pull request for this feature?
