What kind of user is the feature intended for?
(Example users roles: API User, Curator, Depositor, Guest, Superuser, Sysadmin)
API User
What inspired the request?
Manual labor is required to complete user creation. We add the user to a group as a part of onboarding to Dataverse.
What existing behavior do you want changed?
Any brand new behavior do you want to add to Dataverse?
Native API to add BuiltIn users to Explicit Groups.
Any open or closed issues related to this feature request?
Are you thinking about creating a pull request for this feature?
Unfortunately not. I am an IAM sysadmin, I don't have the programming experience nor the knowledge of Dataverse internals to help.

Research direction
The request names a native API for adding BuiltIn users to Explicit Groups but identifies no files, tests, or entry points. Start by locating the existing user and group API behavior, then define the endpoint and expected behavior before implementing it. Done means the API supports this onboarding operation and has coverage for the new behavior.
