Description
PROBLEM:
Some OIDs (e.g., for System Function Contribution specification) are defined in the ISO/IEEE 11073 SDC standards, others in the SDPi supplement, and then there will be additional vendor & deployment specific OIDs ... where will these be formally defined, maintained, accessed? (see related Topic: Security Certificate Provisioning)
DISCUSSION:
The problem statement focused on a few uses; however, there are additional needs for private codes and OIDs.
The updates to and creation of these are far more frequent than updating a standard, though they ARE in standards.
PROPOSALS:
- Determine the types / categories and dynamic updates for these OIDS
- Consider adding an appendix to the SDPi specification OR special pages on profiles.ihe.net/DEV/ special pages
