Topics of Interest table item: Topic: Strategy for Plug-n-Trust Computable IFU

Priority

  • Medium: Significant issue or clarification. Requires discussion, but should not lead to long debate.

Issue

For establishing SES MDI Plug-n-Trust using SDPi-enabled solutions, what information should be included at discovery / connection time and how should it be represented - and trusted! (see Meeting Logs & Notes - 2020.06.23)

This is a medium priority since it is a future capability that should be considered and will require discussion especially for a technical approach.

NOTE: This is a key value for end users, and of little value to system manufacturers. This is related to ISO/IEC 80001-1 implementation support.

Proposed Change

This capability could be achieved by an MDIB extension (TF-3) that would make risk managed QoS & QoD requirements available after a system is present on the network. It could also be a capability added as part of the proposed MDIRA Profile for network health monitoring.
