Issue

From the Topic entry: Although SDC provides a number of ways for a CONSUMER system to discover and navigate a SERVICE PROVIDER's MDIB, for simple devices & applications that only want to find and subscribe to a few parameters, the overhead can be significant. However, processing complexity needs to be balanced between devices (typically resource constraint) vs. consumer systems (see Meeting Logs & Notes - 2020.06.23)

This is a medium priority since it is a future capability that should be considered and will require discussion especially for a technical approach.

Proposed Change

Add a use case (TF-1C) that includes a CONSUMER application that needs to discover PROVIDER systems based on the need for 1-3 parameters. Consider adding an "Enhanced Discovery Profile Option" that would support this capability.
