Description
Per HL7 FHIR-33648 JIRA issue, there is a need to clarify the DeviceDefinition UDI "jurisdiction" value set + preferably to map that to BICEPS ApprovedJurisdiction.
Currently a BICEPS B.130 note points to the "M49" identifiers (https://unstats.un.org/unsd/methodology/m49/ ).
Proposals:
- Add a TF-3 content profile proposal for this BICEPS data element to include mapping to this table.
- Include a UDI handling section too that ensures clear mapping of the content between SDC and FHIR
Note that (2) may be specified in a TF-2 FHIR Gateway mapping table, but the general mapping support should be at least mentioned in the TF-3 section.
